Charlotte Tilbury GENIUS MAGIC POWDER Shade 2 Medium
I received this very kindly from Charlotte Tilbury in the tan to medium skin shade (the number 2 shade of the 3 available). In terms of texture and consistency this is a genius, finely milled loose powder which helps to fill in and blur out imperfections, large pores and fine lines to provide a beautiful, soft focussed finish and flawless skin canvas.
The powder has a sheer radiance to it and ideally used with the baking method alongside the Magic Away Concealer (I use shade 6) you can create a truly lit-from-within appearance paired with a bronzer.
The powder is formulated with 99% raw ingredients that are not scented and most importantly the powder does not contain harmful talc content. The powder contains skin nourishing ingredients including Squalane and Tsubaki Oil both of which protect the skin barrier and go to deeply moisturise it.
The result is a beautiful demi matte, natural finish which is not heavy or uncomfortable in the slightest. A lot of powders are just too heavy and really contribute to a horrible caked feeling however this is not the result achieved from use of the Magic Powder.
In terms of the ergonomics, the packaging is beautiful and there is an internal swivel lid which prevents product from going everywhere when you are on the go. Smell wise there is a very gentle and subtle scent but nothing which detracts from the overall performance of the product.
I have oily skin and have found that even when my skin begins to get a bit oily the powder translates the oil in to a lovely, healthy glow.
For a truly natural finish this performs beautifully on bare skin as well i.e. without the need for foundation/concealer. The medium shade offers a golden undertone which works perfectly with my neutral undertone to bring my skin to life.
There is no flashback or white cast residue from this powder.
All in all I am happy with this product and would definitely repurchase. The name truly fits the product! Have yourself a truly #perfectskinday
Love,
GSA
