OUAI Leave In Conditioner 140ml

I was very kindly sent a bottle of the Ouai Leave in Conditioner to try. I will be honest that I am generally very sceptical of leave in products, I find that they leave the hair very sticky, coarse and heavy. I generally find that only oils work well on my hair (pre AND post wash).
In line with these opening remarks I did not expect much of this Ouai instalment, that was.. until I sprayed it on.
These are my thoughts:
The consistency of the product is surprisingly good. It is a milky spray formula which you spritz on as and where required. I find directing the nozzle at my hand and applying from my hand works better to evenly distribute the product around. The consistency and formula is highly malleable to the hair.
My hair is very long and I tend to suffer from weaker hair around the mid to ends as is a woe shared by most long haired women.
I applied to the product whilst my hair was still partly damp so that each strand would truly absorb in the goodness on offer.
I've got this particular section of hair that tends to matte and tangle, the product has helped to smooth out and soften these troublesome strands of hair.
The product helps to prep hair adequately to assist with detangling and combing even the most burdensome of hair types.
You only need a few spritz to cover even the most longest, driest and damaged of hair types. This smoothes down ends creating a curtain of silk, a feeling which lasts for days.
This product does not leave the common feeling of weighed down hair, it is light and airy and unless you over do it with the product you are good to go. It also doesn't leave hands greasy as is the case with most leave in products. I have found no need to straighten my hair afterwards as the spray creates beautiful tossled and moisturised waves throughout the hair.
The spray also helps to add moisture to the hair sufficient to combat static. It also helps calm frizz too and leaves hair feeling hydrated, soft and flowing.
I would recommend this product to those who are concerned as to the level of moisture in their hair, those with dry/heat and dye-damaged hair.
In terms of more technical information this Ouai product is cruelty free and paraben free. It contains hydrolyzed protein to reduce heat damage and amino acid blend designed to strengthen the hair. The scent is that of hibiscus and whilst I've seen others complain of the smell I think the hibiscus is a beautiful scent to have in a hair product.
I am definitely putting this product up amongst my firm favourites from the Ouai range and for hair generally. It is a miracle product which smells fabulous!
Love,
