L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil 250ml Review
I was kindly sent a bottle of this shower oil to try at home. I'd actually used this previously a decade ago, had loved it then and love it still. These are my reasons why it has achieved cult status in my beauty wardrobe:
Given the more colders months that we are currently in, with the moisture deprivation caused by the blasted central heating, the skin can take a particularly harsh beating (and exactly how much water can a person down to combat this issue!). I don't know about others, but my skin physically starts hurting from being overly dry particularly my hands and feet. To compound the dryness, if you do not properly moisturise your skin followed by an overly hot bath/shower you are in for bad skin time.
In comes the L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil. Highly hydrating and nourishing, for soft skin, this is the shower oil for you. Dare I say, (if you are in a rush) you can even miss out on the moisturising step as this is such a deeply nourishing product in itself. If you suffer from particularly dry or itchy skin this helps to resolve, smoothe and calm these skin ailments down. Because it is a thick oil-like texture, it is easy to manage and doesn't escape from your hands as you apply. Don't be put off by the texture description for the reasons given further down.
The magic of this product eminates from some key, powerful ingredients as follows:
Cost versus value: a little goes a long way. You get 250ml in the bottle and only need a little bit to cover the body, apply directly to hand. In terms of consistency it does not leave greasy residue behind, nor does it leave your bathtub slippery/oily.
The smell - oh lord. This gets a 10/10 from me. The fragrance lingers on skin long after the bathing ritual is complete not to mention the added benefit of a wonderfully smelling bathroom thereafter.
Directions - apply, lather, rinse, heaven.
All in all this is one of my top luxury body care products and definitely one for repeat purchase. L'Occitane please consider making an almond fragrance next!! I'd be the first to buy!

- Almond - known for it skin repairing properties, the egyptians were reknowned for their beautiful alabaster skin as a result of devotion to almond oil.
