English Mineral Makeup 100% Pure Mineral Beige Medium Foundation
I was fortunate to have the lovelies at Freedom PR very kindly send me through a full size sample of this foundation to try. I also received the most cute little wooden kabuki brush for application. The foundation itself was cased in a lovely white velvet pouch and presented in a hand-tied gift box.
The thing to know about mineral foundation is that there are plenty of options on the market but not all are ready, willing and able to deliver that light, natural, and barely-there finish.
I've tried many mineral foundations, no names of course, and none have left any sense of airiness to the skin. Of course, that all changed when I received this sample from English Mineral Makeup.
Skin appears as itself, but with enhanced clarity, glow and prettiness. With mineral foundation you can quite easily skip on the primer step but it you must then just go with using your usual moisturiser as a primer. The moisture will bind itself with the mineral powder and translate to a beautiful glow which just develops, with wear, throughout the day.
I've also found the need to skip on the concealer step as the mineral makeup is highly pigmented and takes care of concealing those common imperfections such as redness, darkness, or pigmentation.
If you're after a clean, less caked look then ditch the liquid foundation in favour of this breathable gem of mineral goodness. The foundation gives impeccable coverage, brightens the skin and zaps dark undereyes. It does not look cakey on application, just soft - smoothe - and like it's not even there.
In terms of value versus the pound, this foundation comes in at 37.00 GBP and you get a very decent amount of product for your money.
Not forgetting the adoreable pink kabuki brush, this is soft, swirly and a beautifully complimenting brush that serves well to scoop out the mineral foundation from its container. The size of it is proportionate and well thought out.
The kabuki helps to buff the foundation seamlessly in, it is made of Taklon Fibre which is super soft and smoothe thereby enabling the blending process. The material used to compose the brush is allergen free and completely green. The kabuki also contains bamboo. The kabuki brush costs 19.00 GBP.
The foundation is available to purchase here and the kabuki brush here. If purchasing for Christmas 2018, the last day to place your order is Friday 21st December 2018 for Christmas delivery. There are 25 colours in the range, for guidance I am a MAC slightly lighter than NC35 and my colour in E.M.M. was beige medium.
Extra brownie points are awarded for the 100% vegan label. Their website confirms "All products from The English Mineral Makeup Company are fully natural, organic and cruelty free. 100% natural, 100% minerals, 100% cruelty free and very vegan friendly."
I would love to try more products from the range having had such a pleasant experience with the E.M.M. foundation. A1!
Love,
GSA
